The project
Westerpunt is an innovative architectural viewing platform located along the coastline of De Panne, strategically positioned near the De Westhoek nature reserve.
The project serves as an architectural landmark, offering visitors a panoramic view at a height of six metres over the unique coastal landscape, with sweeping vistas of the sea, the beach and the adjacent nature reserve.
The design is characterised by a bold geometric form and a pure, minimalist aesthetic in which exposed concrete plays the leading role.

The works
Furnibo delivered the full construction of Westerpunt, a technically complex project due to its challenging geometric design.
Our works included the precise execution of the exposed concrete structure, with particular attention to finishing quality, surface texture and seamless integration into the surrounding landscape.
The construction required specialised formwork techniques and a high-quality concrete finish in order to translate the architectural vision flawlessly into the built structure.
